Mike Panarisi’s life hacks beat the old saying that says “A bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at work.”  For Mike every day is about fishing, and that’s why he is featured in Offshore Lifestyle’s “Life on the Water” series.  He is either fishing, painting fishing inspired art or working at East County Bait and Tackle.

Mike’s been fishing for more than 30 years.  His first trips to fish local lakes with his family was around the time he could walk, and when he was around 9 years old, he started fishing salt water on the half-day open party boats in San Diego.

When Mike isn’t painting at his home studio, he paints at the lake and his personal best Largemouth was actually caught on a day he was out painting at Santee Lakes.

With his fishing passion as the top priority, Mike chose to build a life on the water and everything else fell into place.
