Year-round, Captain Sequoyah is in the right place to catch giant fish – Marlin, Roosterfish, Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Yellowtail, Dorado, Salmon and more.

Many saltwater anglers dream of a year following the pelagic species’ west coast migrations, and that defines Sequoyah’s Life on the Water.  He’s in San Diego in the summer, down in Mexico in the winter and up in NorCal after Salmon in the spring.

The son of a San Diego waterman, Capt. Sequoyah Stonecipher has been fishing since about the time he could walk.  His earliest memories are catching Calico bass with his dad, Bill Stonecipher in the kelp beds off Point Loma.

Today, Sequoyah spends nearly every day on the water.  Professionally, he’s a Captain running sportfishing yachts and fishing.  On days off, he’s typically out fishing or surfing.

That’s how we define the Offshore Lifestyle GRIT.  With his fishing passion as the top priority, he chose to build a life on the water and everything else fell into place.
